Kapalua Bay Lawn
Cliffside Ceremony with Unforgettable Views
Availability: 10 AM–2 PM or 3 PM–sunset
Capacity: 40 seated for a ceremony or 50 standing for a cocktail reception
Note: Overlooks one of Maui’s most iconic beaches
Location Details:
The Kapalua Bay Lawn sits on a cliff overlooking Moloka’i and beautiful Kapalua Bay. It can accommodate up to 40 seated guests for a ceremony and up to 50 standing guests for a cocktail reception, making it an ideal location for your oceanfront celebration. The lawn may be reserved from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. or 3 p.m. until sunset.
Staffing fees will apply for cocktail receptions.
Oceanfront Kapalua Bay Deck
Oceanfront Ceremony with Panoramic Views
Availability: 10 AM–2 PM or 3 PM–sunset
Capacity: Perfect for larger ceremonies & cocktail receptions up to 200 guests.
Location Details:
The Kapalua Bay Deck, is our Oceanfront ceremony location with sweeping ocean views overlooking Moloka’i and Lanai.

On the Outside Deck with Ocean Views

Capacity: Perfect for lunch or dinner receptions (up to 40 guests)
Location Details:
The Oceanfront Private Tent is Merriman’s most intimate private dining experience. It is located on our oceanfront Kapalua Bay Deck, with sweeping ocean views overlooking Moloka’i and Lanai. Experience Merriman’s fine dining food and service while enjoying one of the island’s best sunset views.
The Private Tent can accommodate a maximum of 40 guests.

Ultimate Private Experience
Availability: 3 PM–10 PM
Capacity: Perfect for ceremonies and dinner receptions (up to 200 guests)
Location Details:
For the ultimate dining experience, you can choose to secure the entire Merriman’s Kapalua property for the evening. With this option, you have exclusive use of the entire restaurant, both the Kapalua Bay Deck and Main Dining Room, from 3 pm to 10 pm. The Deck boasts panoramic ocean views, making it an unforgettable outdoor experience for any event. This location is great for ceremonies and dinner receptions. The main dining room is available for plated dinner service. You may choose to have a DJ and a dance floor with the Evening Exclusive option. Pricing and availability vary; please inquire for further details.
Daytime Exclusive
Breathtaking Panoramic Ocean Views
Availability: 10 AM–2 PM
Capacity: Perfect for a private experience with daytime views (up to 200 guests)
Location Details:
Our Exclusive Daytime event is one of Merriman’s best-kept secrets. This option allows you to have an exclusive event at Merriman’s while maximizing the daytime views. This is also a great option to have live music or a DJ without the expense of an Evening Exclusive. Depending on your guest count and preference, you may choose to have your ceremony on the Kapalua Bay Deck or the Kapalua Bay Lawn. The Private Tent and dining room are available for plated lunch service. With this option, you would have exclusive use of the entire restaurant from 10 am to 2 pm.
